In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and in compliance with local regulations, MedTek College Hayward has temporarily suspended our live classes until further notice.  Nevertheless, it is our intention to continue working with our students both current and incoming so that they may proceed with their learning goals, especially at this time when the need for this field of medical service is critical.

With the cooperation of our staff and students, we have implemented an alternative training program while still maintaining the personalized and thorough system that our SPT program is well known for. Our instructors and advisors are also continually following up with our students to both maintain their learning momentum and offer moral support. On top of that, we are actively exploring ways, using the latest technology to facilitate the remote learning that is now forced unto us by this current situation.

We hope that despite this you will continue to entrust us with this task and allow us to continue to serve and assist you.  Nevertheless, despite our best intentions, please note that there are matters that we cannot control at this time. So as you register for our classes, please be advised that;

(1) we do not know when our live classes will resume so at the moment, classes are done online through Zoom and/or through our alternative programs.

(2) Most hospitals and health-care facilities are responding to the current crisis so there are NO GUARANTEES for students to receive an externship assignment at this time.

(3) Since person-to-person meetings are not allowed for now, our Instrumentation class is currently limited to the online platform.  Therefore, ADDITIONAL SESSIONS of our Hands-On Instrumentation Lab has been added towards the end of our program and/or prior to when our students receive their externship assignments.

It is our hope that we will pull through this with renewed strength and determination. On behalf of my staff, we wish you and yours health and safety!

Sincerely,

Maricel Nguyen

Program Director
