An Allied Health Professional

In this 10-week course, students will learn how to manually and mechanically clean, disinfect, and decontaminate surgical instruments, patient care equipment, and medical devices.  They will also learn to prepare and inspect the quality of instrument trays for surgical procedures.  At the end of the program, students will know how to sterilize all instruments and equipment with different sterilizers (for example, steam sterilizer, ethylene oxide) and learn methods of ordering supplies and inventory of sterile items and distribution of supplies.

This is an IN-PERSON, WEEKEND ONLY program!

A new class starts every FEBRUARY, MAY, AUGUST

and NOVEMBER.  

A typical schedule is as follows (can vary or subject to change):

Weeks 1 - 4 - THEORY ONLY

SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS  - 9 am to 5 pm

 

Weeks 5 - 9 - INSTRUMENTATION LAB begins

SATURDAYS  - 8 am to 5 pm (Hands-On Instrumentation Lab)

SUNDAYS - 9 am to 5 pm (Theory)

 

​Week 10 - WORKSHOPS and REVIEWS

SATURDAY - 9 am to 5 pm

SUNDAY- 9 am to 5 pm
